“Personally, it’s hard. I’m living on my own now, I haven’t given anyone a hug in, something like 50 days. Haven’t held my son in 50 days. I, the most intimate contact I had was an elderly gentleman in the emergency department who had a Do Not Resuscitate order and came in with very low oxygen levels, and didn’t want his mask anymore, and so, he died in my arms and I stroked his forehead as he died. And that was… that was the most, sort of, tenderness and human contact and touch I’ve had in a long time. Um, and it was beautiful. But yeah, I miss, I miss hugs.”
