A Co-worker told my wife we’re pretty cute together and asked how we met. This is the story my wife told her:
Three or four years ago we met working at Walmart unloading trucks together, and we kind of became friends. We never hung out much or anything, he did his thing and I did mine, we were just co-workers. After he quit, we still didn’t hang out or talk much, just did our own things. Then one day I saw him on facebook and decided to chat with him and we started talking regularly. He usually wanted to hang out and I was always telling him no, not today, maybe later, etc.
Eventually I started hanging out, but never for very long because I figured he just wanted to sleep with me. One day I finally told him that and he said “If that’s all you think I want then save us both the trouble and just unfriend me right now” and he stopped talking to me. I told him I was sorry and that I didn’t mean to piss him off, and that’s the only reason he didn’t delete me right then.
After a couple of weeks I asked him why he doesn’t talk to me anymore. He told me he’s not deliberately talking to me less, he’s just not putting any more effort into me than he would with anyone else.
CO-WORKER: “Ah, he’s making you come to him isn’t he.”
WIFE: Yup and it worked. We started hanging out again. I think the first time we hung out again we went to a bar for a couple beers, then to another bar where he was dj-ing that night. I didn’t stay long that night either.
Over the next few weeks we started hanging out more and more, until he asked if we were officially dating (exclusively) and I said yes. We started spending more and more time together since then. Then, while he was away for two weeks for work, I told him “I miss you” and he replied “I miss you too.” I said “No, I mean I really miss you,” and he said “I really miss you too.” So I told him “No, I mean I love you.” He said “And I love you too.”
A few months later we were talking about planning to get married. We went to the courthouse before work to find out how much it would cost, what paperwork we needed, etc., and it turns out it’s really cheap and easy to do. That night we called in to work and got married. The wedding is still in the planning stages.
this is soo sweet!! I love you both, too!!! (not in the same way)
Wow, what a great story! Love you guys!
